Drill Team
The Langley Riders Drill Team has been around since 1965 and has been a part of many exciting events in both the Langley Riders’ history as well as Langley’s! From parades to rodeos, the drill team as represented a portion of Langley’s horse community for many years. There have been many generations of this team and we hope to continue this tradition with new and returning drill members in 2024.

Drill teams execute choreographed maneuvers to upbeat music as a group of riders and horses. Moves vary in complexity from simple lines down the arena to more complex movements such as pinwheel and crack the whip. Some riders may carry a flag, while others may just be there for the fun of it! This is a great team activity and a chance to try something new or return to an old hobby in a low-pressure environment.
We work towards having a positive and safe environment for riders and horses to learn how to excel in this style of riding. We hope to provide some early opportunities in 2023 for riders to come out and try riding as part of a drill team!
