History and Background

In the early 1960’s some forward thinking individuals in Langley felt there was a need for a local Little Britches Rodeo. The first rodeos were held at a location just behind the Langley Secondary School site. In the late 1960’s the present arena location was purchased and the Little Britches Rodeo has been held there ever since.
Young rodeo stars begin with sheep riding at 2 years of age, and as their love for rodeo grows, many have gone on to become rodeo champions in the Amateur and Professional ranks. Rodeo teaches our youth how to train and handle a horse in a fast-paced environment, as well as how to be a good sport. Many life-long friendships started in our rodeo arena.
