Dear potential Langley Riders Member,

Langley Riders Society is a non-profit organization that is run and maintained by volunteer membership. That means we are counting on our members to help out at various Langley Riders events and also help with ground keeping. Some examples of this are lawn mowing, repairs, painting and general grounds upkeep.

Membership fees for the year are: $45.00 single and $75.00 for a family. If you are joining Langley Riders Society, two separate post-dated deposit cheques of $100.00 per family or single membership are required. They need to be dated July 1st, and October 20th, This is a retainer for your required help.

No Member will be allowed to ride in any event as a member until post-dated cheque(s) is received.

Volunteer requirements consist of:
8 work hours, 4 hours to be completed by July 1st and 4 hours after July 1st.
2 work bees of a min. 2 hours each. 1st work bee to be completed by July 1st and 2nd after July 1st.

**These volunteer requirements are PER Family, or single membership (A family consists of 2 or more members residing at the same mailing address.) Also anyone i.e. friends or family may complete the work hours or bees for you.

If work hours are not completed your cheque will be cashed.

After completion of the first half of volunteer hours and 1 work bee, your 1st deposit cheque will be destroyed or returned. The 2nd deposit cheque will be returned or destroyed after remaining work hours and bee are completed after July 1st.

Besides reduced show fees and the use of the arena during off times, there are many benefits to joining the club. We have year-end awards with many great prizes and a fun banquet, as well as participation in local parades, the Langley Riders Drill Team and a Royalty contest.
