LRS
Welcome to LRS Jumping Days! We are a family oriented, beginner friendly, non profit club where good sportsmanship and safe fun with your horse is the goal.
My name is Katrina Vavrovics and I am this years new director. I'm a long time rider with years of experience competing in the jumper ring, avid trail rider, and Farrier since 2006. I have been a LRS member on and off since 2004 and was the Games director in 2006. Some of you may best remember me from the games days on a big, black, Percheron mare named "Zoie". I hope to continue where Katherine left off by bringing more high quality jumping days back to LRS.
The 2012 Jumping season will be starting soon and we're going to try some new and exciting things this year. My goal is to help educate and inspire our members in the jumping ring as well as to bring in new jumping riders. With the help of Catherine and Ian Veenendaal from Snaffles Training were going to run two clinic days (April 14th & May 19th) to help with the basics, jump safety, and a bit of a refresher for those that are a bit rusty or just unsure. Details to follow soon.
Reminder volunteers are needed so come out and get your hours in! Jump crew, gate, announcing, stopwatch, etc.. there is lots to do and your help is necessary to run a smooth show. We set up the night before around 6pm and could use some helping hands for that as well. Please give me a call or email ahead of time if you're wanting to work.
